Just mere some walls and neglected rooms contain this byzantine old castle in Jabal Wastani. The place is beautiful, you see Armanaz and KafarTakharim from sky.

Khawabi Castle
A forgotten castle by archeologists, but not neglected by people! One of the inhabited castles in Syria like Mudiq Castle (قلعة المضيق) and Qadmus castle. Now there seem to be rehabilitating plans, as people are moving to the village nearby. Khawabi castle is found near Tartous 20 km east in the mountains.
Harem Castle
Found at north-west Syria, at Turkish border near Iskenderoun governorate. What is left is from arab-crusader times, although first built at byzantine times.
